A Legacy of Strength in the Heart of Rustenburg
Founded more than 75 years ago, Laerskool Rustenburg‑Noord โ known to the Department of Basic Education as Rustenburg‑Noord Primary School โ has grown into one of the largest primary schools in Rustenburg, North West, today welcoming around 1,500 learners guided by more than 45 dedicated educators.
Every child who walks through our gates on Johnson Street becomes part of the Nory family โ a community bound together by our motto, Worstel en Wen (“Strive and Win”). It is a promise that with effort, discipline and care, every learner can achieve their personal best, both in the classroom and far beyond it.

Netball
One of Noord Primary’s proudest programmes. In 2025, four Nory alumni — Oatile Molefi, Tlotlo Morake, Neo Silinza and Olerato Selekolo — represented North West Province at the Telkom SA Schools Netball Championships in Cape Town, coached and supported by former Noord Primary coach Ms Elelwani Mukhathi‑Sibiya.
Soccer & the Danone Nations Cup
Our soccer teams are regular North West provincial finalists in the Danone Nations Cup, repeatedly earning a place at the national finals — a proud tradition of mass-participation football that keeps growing every season.
Athletics & Cross Country
History was made when Botlhale Moremi became the first Nory ever ranked No. 1 in South Africa (Boys U/10) at the ASA Cross Country Championships. In 2025, four Noord Primary athletes — Entle Sefehle, Lufunolwau Nemakonde, Ofentse Molete and Botlhale Moremi — qualified for the SA Athletics Championships, living out the school’s #ElevateYourSelf theme.
Culture & the Arts
Our award-winning Junior Choir was crowned champion of the Bojanala District Choir Competition — and from cheerleading and music to reading showcases and public speaking, Nories are encouraged to express themselves and build confidence well beyond the sports field.

We offer Grade R through Grade 7, covering the Foundation, Intermediate and Senior phases under the CAPS curriculum.
Laerskool Rustenburg-Noord offers dual-medium instruction in Afrikaans and English.
Contact our school office directly to check availability, then submit the required documents (birth certificate, immunisation card, latest report and proof of residence) in line with the South African Schools Act.
Netball, soccer, athletics, cross country and a range of cultural programmes — several of which have produced provincial and national representatives.
Our office is open Monday to Friday, 07:00–14:00. We’re closed on weekends and public holidays.
